The Birth Story...

There has been a bit of a delay in my blogging because Charlie decided to make his appearance. We have been so busy showing him off and changing his diapers we haven't had much time! He was very stubborn and didn't arrive without a lot of persuasion from the doctor. Brett and I went to the hospital at 9pm on May 13th (Mother's Day) and little Charlie Mark finally arrived May 15th at 6:56 am. He weighed in at 7 Lbs. 1 Oz. and was 20.5". I was already having contractions a couple of minutes apart when we got to the hospital so it was a long 34 hours of labor and four hours of pushing. It took a vacuum to finally get him out. Grandpa Mark thinks it is really funny to say that you can finish anything with a shop vac. Today he is already one week old. His mommy would like him to stay this little forever but he seems to already be growing. He is a very good little boy and sleeps and eats well. If he stays this easy he might someday have lots of brothers and sisters to play with! We feel so blessed to have such a perfect little boy.
