Lucky to be alive

Well. maybe that is a bit dramatic but it has been a heck of a day. First, Mom found Charlie in the bathroom drinking a bottle of toilet bowl cleaner with bleach. After a panic attack and a call to Poison Control, he seems to be recovering fine. His clothes didn't fare as well. Apparently drinking bleach isn't as awful as it sounds. We will be more careful about the child proofed doors being totally shut from now on though. Then, this evening we started a kitchen fire. The below picture is Charlie's high chair tray in the sink. It is, you say? Well, it is hard to recognize since it completely melted. Thank goodness Brett was home and remembered where the fire extinguisher was hidden. Any ideas on where to get a replacement tray? This is the blackened stove. Surprisingly, it came pretty clean. Good thing we are getting close to our kitchen remodel.
Because the above pictures aren't so exciting we thought you might like a cute one too. This is Charlie feeling a little depressed about all our accidents today. This is how his parents feel too. Let's hope tomorrow isn't as eventful!

I would have flipped out if I found Zane doing that! I freaked out when he ate a ton of tums. By the way, tums are fine to eat. It gets trickier to keep stuff out of reach the bigger they get!

How scary!! My dad's home recently was almost entirely consumed in a fire and even though they are safe and sound [despite losing one of their cats to smoke inhalation], it is definitely a scary thing, no matter how big/small it is. I am really glad that all of you are ok and that there was relatively little damage!!
