Brett worked a ton this week and I was not looking forward to a LONG week without him around. Then these two showed up on our doorstep for a surprise visit. They pretended to be my nanny's or "manny" in Drew's case.

Della thought Drew was the best.

Actually, she thought Aly was the best.

Charlie was in full agreement, they were both the best.

Aly did a good job of keeping everybody in line but when she had to leave, all hell broke loose under Drew's watch.

He hadn't changed a diaper before and was a little confused.

Della thought that was really funny.

Then thankfully for Drew, who I'm sure was sick of me and the kids after three long nights and days, Uncle Nonny showed up to rescue him. He took some time to play with Della before they headed out.

Sweet Lana came too, and Mama Mary and Papa kindly took everybody back to Anacortes after helping around the house all day Wednesday. I think Drew was happy to be relieved of his manny duties and 6am wake up calls.
Charlie now keeps asking "When is manny Droopy coming for dinner?"
Thanks for your help you guys! Aly changed diapers and washed dishes, they watched the kids so we could get coffee, and Drew trimmed the hedges! It was awesome. We also did a few fun things like visit Brett at work with Specialty Bakery for lunch and Trophy Cupcakes for dessert. We went to Ivar's and Dick's and took Charlie to his first movie theatre movie, Alvin and the Chipmunks. Drew was really disappointed we only made it through an hour and didn't get to see the ending. We had to leave when Charlie started dancing in the aisles and wouldn't sit back down.
Please come back to be my nanny/manny again soon you two!!

Sounds like you had a lot of fun help! My sister is here with us, so we are loving her help. Both kids think Auntie Mae is the best! And you are brave! We haven't even taken Zane to see a movie yet...maybe next year haha
Dancing in the aisles and Uncle Droopy? This kid should be a stand up comedian!
